Mexican National Focus includes three focuses who allow to support the Nationalist Spain or the Republic, and take refugees. Portuguese National Focus (common/national_focus/Portugal.txt) includes the sub-branches Popular Front/Estado Novo, Nation in Arms, Support the Spanish Republic, Strict Neutrality in the Spanish Civil War and Support the Spanish Nationalists, which allow involvement in the Spanish Civil War and ideology changes. Spanish National Focus (common/national_focus/Spain.txt). For modders, specially those involved in total conversion mods it is one of the most complex layouts, as it includes lots of lines of code, flags, decisions, events, and national focuses. In historical mode it is the first victory for the Fascist countries, and the first defeat of the Soviet, as Nationalist Spain is the main choice of the AI. From the democratic side, France also has a few options to take sides. But it also involves neutral countries such as Mexico and Portugal (the last one usually involved in the Nationalist side), and obviously Spain. 
It includes several files to simulate the different factions and factors of the war, as it is the fist clash among several factions, preeminently the Commintern and the Axis. The Spanish Civil War, included in La Résistance DLC is one of the most complex series of events in the game, and it is the main theme of Spain.
